Our Aims

We aim to help Primary School teachers design and run their own Tai Chi-based exercise programmes.

We do this in a way that provides teachers with the flexibility to customise the content of their programmes and so better reflect their own, changing needs.

This is achieved without undermining the underlying principles of body mechanics and Traditional Chinese Medicine upon which the exercises depend for their effectiveness.

We have three objectives:

  1. Three objectivesTO HELP TEACHERS create a calming and orderly daily exercise routine which will deliver more receptive pupils and an ambience which is more conducive to learning.

  2. TO HELP CHILDREN develop a healthy lifestyle habit from an early age.
     
  3. TO BUILD A POSITIVE ATTITUDE TOWARDS EXERCISE – whether the child has a natural aptitude for it or not - by making it fun and engaging the child intellectually at the same time.
